With summer season at its peak in most countries especially UAE, moving outdoors to face and hug the warm weather is an exciting and ideal choice for many holidaymakers. It’s a great way to let go and see different cities, make unforgettable memories with family and friends and to spend some days without any workload stress. To travel in the warm weather can heat up the car quickly and sometimes feels like its burning when we first get inside.
If you are planning to rent a car this summer for your travel adventures,
Keep in mind the uncomfortably hot temperatures your vehicle can experience when stationary with the windows locked.
It is very important to remember to never leave kids alone in the car, be attentive about your personal items stored in the car that may be affected by extreme heat.
BEFORE YOU HEAD OUT
Check or change the oil:
It is necessary to check the oil change, take out the dipstick and see if you need to add oil.
Replace the engine air filter:
If engine filter is dirty or filled with garbage, replace it with a new one.
Check the tires:
It is very hard to change a tire on a hot highway. Some tires have indicators so you can check the manufacturer’s website if you see cracks in the sidewalls or blisters and bulges you’re due for a new set. Also, if your car vibrates or pulls to the side, you may need an alignment before taking off. And finally, if everything looks good, make sure the tires are inflated to the correct pressure.
Check the spark plugs:
If your car is not in a good move or you have any problem to start it, you may need to replace your spark plugs. Check them for corrosion, residue, or gaps under the electrodes and replace it if necessary.
Flush the radiator:
Indeed hot temperatures can cause the car to overheat. Before you end up steaming on the side of the road, confirm your radiator flushed and filled, many times antifreeze residue can remain in the lines. Flushing it helps the car to run better.
Check the lights:
The Brake lights, turn signals, low and high beams check them in the darkness.
Check the battery:
If you see liquid oozing out of the battery, it’s time to change the battery. If Car batteries are three to five years older then you may want to test it with a voltmeter.
Check the brakes:
There is also need to check the brakes, fill the brake fluid and check the pads, if you’re taking a trip to the mountains it is necessary to check it.
Here are a few other important reminders we think are important to remember:
Keep your medication safe
All medication generally comes with a warning label about storing in a cool dry place. In most cases, it is recommended that they are not left in an area that may exceed 30 degrees
So it is necessary to keep your medicines in low temperature.
Take care of drinking bottles. As there are several plastic bottles in the market and we are not sure about a good plastic material always keep the bottles in a cold place, if you like to keep a bottle of water in your car, remember to change it regularly, indeed it will be good to stay healthy.
Store the food in an ESKY
Whether you are planning to on a long or short trip, there is need to pack your food in an esky or cooler bag with a frozen storage ice block it will help to keep it fresh.
In the market a great range of cooler bag and esky are available, you can find something to meet your travel needs.
Read labels always
Packaging is generally provided for your own safety. So always take a few minutes to locate the ‘warning’ labels on items you wish to store in your car to make certain there are no advice about keeping away from extreme heat.
Drink more water
Always carry few bottles of water when you start your journey. Drinking at least one glass of water every hour while driving is a good way to avoid dehydration.
On a long journey no matter how well you have serviced the car. So it’s better to carry an emergency tool kit it will be definitely useful anywhere you need.
Always park the car in the shade
The internal temperature of a car parked in sunlight can be increased to unbelievable degrees. Try to park the car in the shade and do not leave children or pets inside, even with open windows. Temperatures can rise as much as 12 degrees within 15 minutes.
Protect Your Data:
When you left the CDs in sunlight or even left inside your car would have the layer containing the data peeling off as temperatures rise, if you want to save your data, try to avoid leaving CDs on the dashboard
